Ganalath

One of the most famous bards in the world, Ganalath likes money, women, a good tale, money, singing, women, and money. The worst of misers, he hoards money in all of his huge mansions, strategically placed in the world capitals. Fond of easy living and disdaining travel, he still often finds himself on the road, if for no other reason than to alleviate his boredom. Ganalath is an arrogant and nasty little man at heart and is constantly looking out for his own well-being, no matter who he has to trample. Fortunately for the world, he's usually too incompetent to actually trample anybody.

Kevaughn

A simpleton among simpletons, Kevaughn is Ganalath's faithful lapdog... er... servant. Always ready with rapier and broken, barely understandable common, he follows Ganalath like a puppy, asking only to be fed every now and again and not to be kicked TOO hard. Kevaughn loves reading children's books and having tea parties and is generally a complete embarassment to Ganalath. If he weren't so darn good with a sword, Ganalath probably wouldn't keep him around at all.

Edwin

Edwin (or Ed, as most people call him) is an adolescent Frost Dragon that Ganalath accidentally teleported into his ale cellar in order to get at his treasure. He subsequently hired Ed to chill his ale in exchange for free room and board (and booze). Ed is a strange dragon who actually has gained some resistance to warmer climes, enough to keep his scales from melting, in any rate. His alcohol tolerance is also higher than most Frost Dragons'. Believe it or not his flying skills are better than most Frost Dragons, as he's actually awake and stretches his wings on occassion. Ed doesn't hibernate, because right now he's having too much fun staying awake.

Hansenian

A technomancer of no small ability, Hansenian is a tinkerer and an inventor. He loves fiddling with gadgets and often creates many things, almost all of which fulfill the basic technomancer rule: constructing it must require more effort than doing the task, and it must always be created in the most inefficient way possible. Hansenian is Celeste's father, and her mother is related to Ganalath.

Celeste

Celeste is a cute blonde girl who loves just about everything. Cheerful and enthusiastic, she is the very definition of sickeningly cute, and even Ganalath tends to spoil her terribly. She's generally a good-natured child, unless she doesn't get her way in which case she can be quite nasty.

Dummy, The

An evil and souless creation of simple wood and pure, untainted malice, The Dummy is Kevaughn's greatest rival in the world, and the one thing Kevaughn hates above all else. While the dummy may have won all of its rounds with Kevaughn in the past, Kevaughn keeps an increasingly large stockpile of tinder, flint, and straw under his bed for the fateful day he can catch it off guard and end its foul existence once and for all.
